Afghan Hound

Such a sweet and gentle boy, who needs nothing more in life than a warm couch to sleep on and a family to love him. He is difficult to get a photo of as he doesn’t want to get off that couch. He is a pure afghan hound who has won awards in the past.

Flynn is in excellent health, having just had his teeth vetworked and a thorough veterinary examination. He is very eager to please, learns very quickly and simply wants to spend the rest of his life in a warm home with someone to love him. He requires very little exercise (a short outing on a lead once or twice a week would be more than enough), as being an older boy, he is most content lying next to you on the couch.

He is exceptionally good with both younger and older children and very friendly and gentle with other dogs. Unfortunately, he had not met a cat until recently and although he is learning to leave them alone, he is better suited to a home without cats. While he enjoys the company of other dogs he would also suit a home without dogs, as human company is what he loves more than anything in the world.

He is very easy to look after and his coat requires clipping twice a year in order to keep it short. He does not jump and rarely barks – while he is aloof with strangers, he will welcome them into his home once he has met them. He walks nicely on a lead but being a sight hound, needs to remain on a lead when he is taken out. He enjoys rides in the car, scratches under the ear and cuddles from people.
