Karsten is a beautiful, playful puppy. People are always commenting on what a handsome boy he is!

When Karsten first came into foster care the world seemed a little overwhelming, but he is settling in so well and is much more relaxed now. Karsten is a bundle of love and joy, he really enjoys a game of chasey and having a wrestle with his foster brother! He is learning to chase the ball, sometimes he will even bring it back to you and then he lets it go in your hand so gently. He loves his soft toys but the type that squeaks scare him!

When you arrive home he gets so excited to see you that he grabs a toy and runs around with it in his mouth for a minute or two, wriggling his backside! He is super cute! He also travels well in a car, sitting quietly in the back. If he sees a dog through the window, he likes to bark to say hello. He loves going to the beach and having a play at the park. He stays close, even if he is off lead, looking to you for comfort and direction. Unless he see's a bird, he loves chasing them!

Karsten is not on the go all the time however and he is happy to fit into your schedule and do what you are doing. He is a very loving little boy, who really enjoys cuddles and sitting on your lap getting pats. He loves to snuggle on the couch next to you and have a good nap. At night he burrows under the doona and sleeps curled up against you. He also enjoys a sleep in! And loves to lie next to you on the couch while you have your morning cuppa.

Karsten can be a little wary when meeting new people, especially males, however warms to them quickly once he knows he is safe. He gets along well with other smaller dogs; bigger dogs seem to overwhelm him and he can get a little worried.

Karsten would suit a loving home with another dog for companionship as he cries if left alone. Like all young dogs, Karsten needs someone who is happy to spend time with him and continue his socialisation and obedience training. He has not had much experience with young children but seems okay on the few occasions he has met them. He would not be suited to living with cats.

Karsten is such a smart little fellow, quick to learn and eager to please. He is fun to be around and has a beautiful golden coat that is so soft to touch. A very special little boy looking for his forever home.
