A girl and her father had noticed a dog from up the road was coming to their place under the house all the time and realised she had puppies under there so they went to tell the man that owned the mother dog. He did not say much to them and a couple of days went by and the mother had not come so they asked the owner and he said he got rid of the mother dog last Friday. We can guess what that meant.

So the puppies had not had any food or drink since Friday and the dad crawled under the house and got them out. There were five altogether. Two were dead already One was in very very bad shape and moaning piteously. Another one was not much better and one was not too bad. The little female puppy that was really bad – I could hear her moaning even over the telephone – she had a small chance to survive and she was given it with her overnight stay at the vet’s on a drip but died overnight.

Jarrod, the little boy, has now come good but was on antiobiotics. Both he and the little one who died had animal bite marks over their bodies. Jane, the strongest one, is in quite good conditions. A week later these two little souls have wagging tails and look up eagerly when their carer comes into the room.

Please don’t treat these lives as you would rubbish – as disposable items – they are faithful and loyal. Are we? If we don’t value these lives what does it say about us.

Please desex your animals.
