Zed's Warnig About Grass Seeds

Zed was surrendered to the pound. Through the hair on his right eye the ranger could see pus oozing through. He clipped around the eye and this is the result. Zed was lucky in one way. Because he was a surrender and the ranger rang us, we were able to take him to the vet the same day. He had initial treatment and has come to Melbourne where he had another vet visit yesterday. We are waiting to see if he needs specialist treatment and if his eye can be saved. Most likely this damage was caused by a grass seed as his carer has since found other grass seeds working through his hair ma

Be vigilant with grass seeds in summer. They can cause a lot of damage if unattended.

Update:

Zed's eye has improving rapidly and he has found a new home.
