Contact Us

We apologise if we have not responded to you. Although generally we try to respond to every email and application the problems with our Optus accounts over the last few weeks has meant that we have lost many incoming and outgoing emails. We may not on this occasion respond to your emails unless you have been successful.

Why don’t we list a telephone number for adoption enquiries?

We are a group of volunteers. We don’t list a telephone number because each call can take up to an hour. We deal with hundreds of emails each day and unfortunately have to restrict the telephone calls we accept and make. We can send emails late at night and respond to your queries much faster.

VicDRG is operated entirely by volunteers. If we have not responded to your email please be patient. If we have not responded to you within 72 hours please email us again. Thank you for your understanding.

General Enquiries

For adoption and foster care please see our online procedures.

M 04310 65629 This is a general information line only. Emails are preferred and will be responded to more quickly. Adoption queries will not be responded to on this number.

Please leave a detailed message with the reason for your call. Note we will not respond to a query about a dog application on this number. If you have a query email us. All adopters, foster carers and volunteers have been given a mobile number to contact us if necessary. A general message that you are ‘calling about a dog’ will not be responded to. This line is for general queries from the public for VicDRG and DRAV. Again if possible email rescue@victoriandogrescue.org.au rather than leave a message.

Note: we are not a shelter so please do not telephone to ask what our hours are. We are a community fostercare network and each of our dogs is in a home with a foster carer.

Please be kind to us and remember that we are volunteers doing this because we value our companion animals. We hope you do too.
