VicDRG is a group run entirely by volunteers. We have no paid employees.

Everyone gives of their time, skills and often money to ensure we can continue to work to save and improve the quality of life of our companion animals.

The Hughie Special Dogs Fund

Victorian Dog Rescue gives severely neglected dogs a second chance at life after they come to us, often in a shocking condition, many having endured years of neglect. We regard each life as valuable, and of those dogs we manage to save we commit to giving them as much quality of life as we can for their remaining years. Of course, this comes at a substantial financial cost to us, but for dogs like Hughie (above), the reward is priceless. We need your help to rehabilitate more deserving dogs like Hughie. For these dogs and in memory of Hughie and his brave battle, we launched the 'Hughie Special Dogs Fund' at our film fundraiser on Thursday, 15 April 2010.

If you would like to support our work, please also consider making a donation to the costs of the homeless pets that we rescue, including surgery, extra veterinary work, medication, etc, or you can choose to sponsor a particular dog until they find their forever home.
