No dog will be rehomed by us without being desexed, microchipped and vaccinated.

VicDRG is a group run almost entirely by volunteers. We sometimes pay for catch up administration work as our paperwork is important to us and ensures the safety of our animals.

Mostly, everyone gives of their time, skills and often money to ensure we can continue to work to save and improve the quality of life of our companion animals.

Your donations go where they are needed - to the animals.

How You Can Help

VicDRG is a small voluntary organisation. There are so many ways you can help: by fostering a dog; by transporting a dog from Bendigo or Mildura or locally in Melbourne; by telling your friends about us and other rescue groups; putting up our poster at your local vets, groomers or pet food store (only those that don't sell animals please); looking out for old animal cages and other items on our » wish list; supporting our fundraising events.

Donations

Can you help us rescue and rehome our homeless pets by making a donation?
As our administration costs are minimal, your donation always goes to where
it is needed most - to the animals. You can ask us to direct your donation
to wherever you like - towards sponsoring a dog or cat of your choice, to
vet fees, towards special surgery that can change a dog's life or to general
funds that cover our additional animal-related costs.

For more information, please email rescue@victoriandogrescue.org.au. As VicDRG is a registered charity, all donations over $2 are tax-deductible for Australian tax-payers. Please ensure you enclose details such as email or
mailing address so that we can forward you a receipt.

Is PayPal safe to use? PayPal protects your financial information with industry-leading security and fraud prevention systems. When you use PayPal, your financial information is not shared with the merchant. Once your payment is complete, you will be emailed a receipt for this transaction.

ATTENTION: Donations have been placed in our account by kind people. Sometimes with no details or just a name. Please email us and let us have your details to send you a receipt. You may think that you have supplied details but they are not on our account. Please let us also know whether it's a general donation or for a specific dog. And don't foget to email your details.

Writing a Bequest to the Victorian Dog Rescue & Resource Group Inc.

By writing a bequest to Victorian Dog Rescue, you will be supporting us in our ongoing commitment to rescuing and rehoming dogs and cats from death row. We and the animals thank you!

There are three types of bequest you can make. It can be a specific amount, or a percentage of or the residue of your estate. The latter two options allow you to make provision for those you care about and also avoid the erosion of value over time.

We can suggest the following wording, depending on which sort of bequest you wish to give:

  • Specific bequest

    I bequeath to Victorian Dog Rescue & Resource Group Inc. A0050925B ABN 62 678 938 27, for its general purposes, free of all duties (insert specific item to be given) or the sum of (insert specific amount to be given). I declare that the receipt of its treasurer or other authorised officer of Victorian Dog Rescue & Resource Group Inc. shall be sufficient discharge to my executor.

  • General or Pecuniary bequest

    I bequeath to Victorian Dog Rescue & Resource Group Inc. A0050925B ABN 62 678 938 275 for its general purposes, free of all duties, the whole (or insert percentage) of my estate. I declare that the receipt of its treasurer or other authorised officer of Victorian Dog Rescue & Resource Group Inc. shall be sufficient discharge to my executor.

  • General or Pecuniary bequest
