We are delighted to announce that we have received a $7000 grant for our ‘Pet Crisis – a Paw in Need’ program. This is an innovative program to allow us to assist in a small way with the pets of the homeless and those fleeing domestic violence by paying for vetwork, boarding and other potential costs. Dog Rescue Association of Australia, of which we were one of the founding members some years ago, was also awarded a grant of $8000 to publish a foster care manual to aid the increasing number of foster carers, and improve the standards required long term. We are grateful to the DEPI for awarding us these grants, the monies for which came from fines to puppy farms. This follows our successful Animeals Program conducted this year.
