Arnie was rescued from Stawell Pound in 2013, and placed in foster care. He was an adventurous soul and went for a walk and didn’t come back. Twenty-five days later he was found in a pit in the Ironbark Forest by a walker. He must have gone down a rabbit burrow and become stuck and then as he lost weight was able to wriggle down to the pit. The vet was worried there would be damage to his internal organs but amazingly he has gone on to have a long and happy life.

His adopter says:

“Arnie is so amazing. We have had the pleasure of having him in our family for 11 years now. He is starting to slow down a lot and is getting a bit grey but overall he is doing great given his age. He has a younger fur sister who adores him and a younger human sister who adores him even more.”
