Breed: Female Domestic Short Hair Cat
Wallis is a real sweetheart. She has lived with other cats and small dogs in the past but is living solo in her current foster home with people for company. She has come a long way since we collected her from the pound as a young mother with 2 kittens. Her kittens have been adopted and Wallis is on the lookout for her home now. Wallis is most likely to be shy initially but once you have established a trusted bond she warms to her people and is loving and affectionate. Since being with her carers she has come out of her shell and now feels safe enough to share her beautiful personality.
Her carers say she is ADORABLE and a perfect little house guest. She's quite independent, but not in a snobby way; happy when you are there but content to be alone.
Although Wallis doesn't enjoy being picked up, she is quite happy to sit and chill with her humans on the couch. Her foster carers never would have thought Wallis would be a lap cat, but she sometimes perches herself on their lap and will fall asleep. It's very rewarding to see how far she's come from her initial skittish nature.
Wallis LOVES pats and if you scratch her back she will knead the floor - she loves it! She especially appreciates a vigorous scratch at the base of her tail and will be purring in no time. Wallis entertains herself with toys but also enjoys interactive play.
You feel so special once her shyness goes and she warms to you and lets you know you are important to her. She just needs her forever home now.
