Bella has had too many moves in her life. Taken from a rural pound a little more than two years ago, taken to a shelter, rehomed for a year and now on the move again, and who knows before then. This has no doubt made her more timid and unsure around people and pets she does not know. She is quite territorial and until she knows people entering the home she will be unsure of them, nor does she want dogs near 'her' house. She is very bonded with the teenage boy she has been living with.

Bella is strong on lead but loves her walks. Yes, she does need further work with socialization and resource guarding of her human pack but she is good natured, loyal, not destructive (can be left inside on her own for hours), a perfect companion for a person or adult family with some dog experience.

She does not seem to have a particularly high prey drive as she is currently living with a cat and guinea pigs but we would be very careful in rehoming her with other small animals.

Bella Bellingham just needs to find her place in the world, one where she can be for the rest of her life.

Please note: we do not rehome interstate or to applicants under 25.

It is our policy not to rehome dogs in the Sunraysia area. Please go to your local pound, or contact your local group. As rescue groups have transported thousands of homeless dogs from Mildura and Sunraysia Pounds in the last decade, we do not intend to send any back there.
