Breed: Small Male Jack Russell Terrier x Pomeranian
Weight: 8.6 kgs
Geoffrey is an adorable little fellow, who despite having a difficult start to life, wants very badly to love and be loved. He thrives on company, whether it be other dogs or adult people, he wants to be around others, to share life's journey, it's ups and the downs and all. Only problem is, he doesn't quite know how to do this, and needs to be shown the way.
In many ways, Geoffrey fits the mould of being a typical dog; really loves his walks, LOVES to play fetch and enjoys his evenings on the couch with everyone around him. He is house trained, he doesn't bark at the postie or try to eat the remote, so from a distance, he could be thought of as the perfect companion.
Sadly though, he isn't completely sure about people and this is reflected in his actions. For example, a common thing for him is to jump on people's lap, snuggle up to sleep...but he is not ready to being patted. Another classic behaviour from him is to greet people joyously as they return home...then he isn't quite sure how to react when they try to say hello back. So he is half way there, but needs structure and training to get over the line.
For all of Geoffrey's quirks, you do not have to look too hard to see that he is a special little guy. In the right home, one that has experienced and calm adults, you would see that in spades. What do you think?
Thank you to Lyndsay of Paw Focus Photography for the fantastic photos of Geoffrey
