Lachie has such a sweet face, he still looks like a puppy. Unfortunately his body shows he’s not. He has some health issues we are working on including very stiff rear legs and probably painful that stop him moving very fast.

He is a quiet submissive boy that is happy just to be with you. His favourite spot is napping next to you on the couch.

He ignores the foster carer’s cat. They touch noses then mutually agree to ignore each other. He seems to ignore other dogs too but we feel wouldn’t like a dog to be in his face as it would scare him.

Lachie will have a badly needed dental in the next couple of weeks and a thorough look at his legs to see what we can do to make him more comfortable. We doubt he would manage a step or a dog door.

He will come for a treat but apart from that doesn’t seem to hear too well so we will check that out too.

Lachie needs a quiet home, perhaps with a compassionate retired couple, who will give this older boy a much needed respite and the love and care he may have missed out on.

A similarly sedate cat or senior small dog might be okay in his new home.
