Please note: Oscar is looking for a calm adult home with consistent routine. He would also do well sharing his people with another calm, gentle dog for company.

Oscar has a very chilled personality and loves a good chin rub. All is well in his world if he can be in your company. He is a friendly boy and totally loveable.

Oscar can be unsure around new people, but once he has sniffed you and established you are his friend he is fine. Time with his foster family has seen Oscar relax and we are starting to see his gentle and goofy nature shine through. He will need further training and in particular more socialization. He has not come from a desirable background and came to us emaciated and broken.

Oscar doesn’t really know how to play and is adjusting to acceptable doggy etiquette at the park. But he loves playing with his squeaky toys and we suspect he has not had toys before. He is learning his name and has been doing really well with house training. Oscar understands the ‘no’ command and is currently learning to sit and drop.

If Oscar is rehomed with another dog it will be one that gives him the space he needs and who will help him stay calm when unsure.

Any family who puts the time into building Oscar’s confidence and provides a sound, consistent loving home will see his true personality blossom. Oscar is a gentle, amazing dog who is just realising how wonderful life can be.

Oscar has not yet been tested with cats.
