Sooty McNamara is an intelligent and loving girl who has found herself looking for a peaceful home to rest her paws.

Sooty can be anxious and needs a home with calm people and a quiet environment. She is fine with visitors but would appreciate a space of her own to retreat to when overwhelmed. She has been living with a family who adore her, but it is a very busy household and all the activity has added to Sooty’s anxiety.

Sooty would benefit greatly from further training to build on her current obedience and give her more social skills when she meets other dogs. She is uncomfortable with other dogs and chooses to move away from their interactions, but may be able to live with an adult dog with a placid nature that respects her need for space. She is currently walked in the evening and is far too interested in possums so a family who are able to walk her during the day would give her a more relaxed outing.

Sooty’s favourite occupations are quiet games like fetching a ball and lying in bed with her person meditating together.

With gentle love and kindness Sooty will learn to relax in her home and truly enjoy the company of her people. Are you the one that can make Sooty's tail wag again?

No cats please.

Please note: we do not rehome interstate or to applicants under 25.

It is our policy not to rehome dogs in the Sunraysia area. Please go to your local pound, or contact your local group. As rescue groups have transported thousands of homeless dogs from Mildura and Sunraysia Pounds in the last decade, we do not intend to send any back there.
