What a gorgeous duo - just like an old married couple. Zac is a big sweetie and isn't as outgoing as little Ellie but once he gets the opportunity to snuggle up with you he will get as close as possible. Zac LOVES belly rubs and is very cuddly and loves to be around people. He is a bit shy but once he gets the opportunity to snuggle up with you he will get as close as possible. Zac loves food and doesn't want either you or Ellie to get between him and his FOOD. Zac's happy to sleep all day, but he knows you are there, and will bark if you go out.
Ellie is a lot more energetic and outgoing. She is very curious and likes to explore a lot. Although she is ten she has some very puppy like qualities. Careful, she loves shoes!! She also is very food obsessed and will gobble it up quickly in the hope of eating Zac's too so both need to be separated when eating. She doesn't bark when separated but will cry a little. Ellie is keen to go for walks, play with her kong and follow you around everywhere. She is a sweetie and loves belly rubs too. She likes to be held and cuddled like a baby and will fall asleep in your arms.
Sadly both these little guys have been outside dogs up until now. Their carers have commenced house training; in just a short time they have made great progress and are even using the doggy door.
Zac is getting used to being around dogs he doesn't know, whereas Ellie is fine and quite disinterested. Ellie pulls a bit on the lead but isn't very strong whereas Zac is a little slow and stiff and quite happy to walk alongside you for a decent walk.
Zac will need a special person who has the time and patience to love and care for a dog with poor eyesight. We aren't sure if Zac is just deaf or stubborn as he seems to respond only when food is involved; he is pretty easy going and his main role seems to be to follow you everywhere you go.
So, to sum up, you and food will be their main priorities. They are such sweet little souls and we don't want them to spend another winter outside.Microchip Number: Zac 978000000848297, Ellie 978000001471131

It is our policy not to rehome dogs in the Sunraysia area. Please go to your local pound, or contact your local group. As rescue groups have transported thousands of homeless dogs from Mildura and Sunraysia Pounds in the last decade, we do not intend to send any back there.
