Tillie (formerly Essie)
Have some photos here for you and will enclose a few of her new sister who she chose a month ago. I was hoping to get a pound puppy as I wanted a pup but there were none available at the time. I decided Tillie had to have some company as once her fear was gone and she was completely settled, I would get this very “woe is me” look accompanied by a huge sigh each morning when I left for work.
Tillie chose the puppy herself and Stella is a real little dynamo and whenever Tillie looks at me like “take it away, I need a rest”, I just remind her that it is all her doing! Yesterday for the very first time Tillie played ‘tug of war’ with Stella. I’ve been Stella’s partner in that game and we just couldn’t get Tillie to take part but yesterday even that new skill has been taken on with a vengeance. In the first week of Stella’s arrival, I thought the new puppy had already learnt to get through the cat flap, something Tillie learnt in her first week but as a full grown dog, however, it turned out that Tillie was taking all her toys outside where the puppy couldn’t destroy them. I now have a home full of decapitated toys with no limbs or stomachs left. Boy, I have a lot of fun watching the girls at play and they wrestle together for hours at a time.
The cats were fine with Tillie but they are taking a while to adjust to the puppy as she keeps running at them wanting to play. She is very robust, like Tillie, and just as loving and friendly. They both adore people, children and other animals. Tillie has been a huge hit at Williamstown off leash beach front because she is so friendly and fits right in with all the other dogs, even to the point where a couple of people have asked me what time I take her there so they can bring their dog at the same time and the two can play together! Even the vet adores Tillie!
Thank you so much for enriching my life with Tillie. I never stop now that I four animals to cuddle, play with, groom and exercise but I have never slept so well and it has been a long time since I have enjoyed myself this much. Please drop in if you are passing at any time so you can catch up Tillie and her friends.
