RIP Sampson

Sampson was such a beautiful loving dog He bonded with me from the day I picked him up from the shelter. He stayed with my mother and loved to keep her company in the garden.

I went there every night after work to take him for a walk and he would be out in the garden until about half an hour before my normal arrival time. Then he would sit on the door mat and look and listen for my arrival. He would start talking so that I knew he was waiting for me. He would come inside and put his front legs over my legs when I sat down for me to pat him and rub his ears. When not helping Mum in the garden and walking with me he just loved to chase bees on the Lavender bushes. He would jump high in the air and grab at the bees as they flew around. He looked so happy with himself. His other pleasure was a brush and a tummy rub everyday. He had such a personality that he left a little bit of himself with everyone that he came in contact with.

The day I lost him was a very sad day for both myself and my Mum who had become come very attached to him. He is laid to rest in the garden that he had come to love. A lavender bush was planted that day his grave and has been constantly in flower since it was planted.

Sampson a truly lovely dog whom I will never forget.
