Lovey and Bella Tremayne were two senior surrenders taken to Ballarat Pound when their person moved into a nursing home.

“Bella and Lovey are well and enjoying life. Bella has settled in well and in the last six months has fully relaxed into living with us. She wasn’t much for snuggles when she arrived, but she loves to sit on my lap now and soak up the pats.

Lovey has also settled in well and become Paul’s favourite. Her epilepsy is well managed by medication and she hasn’t had a seizure in about 10 months with that. Lovey has had some health issues though. About two and half months ago Lovey ate a mushroom she found in the yard which unfortunately blocked her intestine, so there was an operation to remove that, a few days in the vet hospital and a few weeks of recovery. About 6 weeks later she had a flare up of pancreatitis with a few more days in the vet hospital getting that under control. She is back to her usual self and bouncing around as normal now.

We love having Bella and Lovey in our lives and we are so happy they share their time with us.”
