NB: We do not rehome interstate or to applicants under 25. It is our policy not to rehome dogs in the Sunraysia area. As rescue groups have transported thousands of homeless dogs from Mildura and Sunraysia pounds over the last decade, we do not intend to send any back there.

In the eyes of Arlie Prattleworth, love is belly rubs, a person who is around her as much as possible and lots of treats and games. She is a cuddly lap dog who is desperate for a lot of love and attention, and is just such a sweetie. When she sits next to you she has an endearing habit of resting her head on your shoulder and looking lovingly at you with her big brown eyes!

She was not house trained but has learnt quickly. She barks very loudly at the door when she wants to go out, as she likes company and to be taken out, but comes in through the dog door by herself.

She loves to be with you, loves her leisurely walks, loves to be a café dog, and if you have people over she will want to join in with you. She is quite energetic for her 8 years but isn’t one for long walks, and as a typical pug you will need to watch her on hot days that she doesn’t over exert. Arlie has had a successful BOAS operation and no longer snores.

Arlie is after a forever home where she can participate, enjoy, and live her best life. She’s a smart girl so games and mental stimulation are a must. Mental stimulation will assist with her barking and giving her the challenges this girl needs. Ball games are great fun but she can become a little boisterous with other dogs and forget she’s not light as a feather.

Her new family will need to know that she does bark when left alone and be prepared to work with her on this separation anxiety. She will bark very loudly if left outside but less so if left inside. She is not suited to apartment life as she just loves to potter in her garden with you.

She has responded well to other dogs but needs to refine her canine etiquette. She’s shown no signs of aggression but can be a little too enthusiastic. We believe she is best suited to life with another dog of at least her size to help her hone her life skills and to keep her company. She has a chase instinct so her new home will need secure fencing and no small pets. And as she is so food focused definitely no food left on coffee tables.

Little Arlie deserves a home where she can settle in, spread her enthusiasm for life and receive the unlimited tummy rubs and adoration she deserves.

Everyone falls for this gorgeous little girl. Of course there is the glitch that she does not like to be left alone.
