Breed: Male Maltese cross
Bruno is a sweety pie and a reluctant surrender. Bruno came to us filthy and in desperate need of a groom. You could see with him rubbing his ears and whining sometimes that he was in discomfort but still his sweetness so evident. He’s always happy to see you, ecstatic to go for a walk, loves a treat.
Bruno is a couch boy, and he loves the couch and if you are sitting on it with him, he will love to snuggle up next to your leg so either his back lies up against your thigh, or if he’s lying on his tummy, his side is against your thigh.
Though he loves to have people around, he doesn’t need constant pets, just having you around is what Bruno wants.
Bruno loves going for a walk, and he walks well on a loose leash. He’ll match your pace, and he’ll stop and wait if you stop. He barks at other dogs while out on walks and is very friendly with new people he meets.
Bruno likes the idea of the car. He walks excitedly towards the car, puts his paws up to be put in, or jumps in himself but then when the car starts going he whines and pants becoming very stressed. As soon as he gets out of the car he’s back to happy again instantly. This could involve experimenting with where he likes to sit to find a way to settle him, or using a calming medication till he gets used to it. But if you are taking long trips he probably is not the dog for you.
Bruno is an excellent communicator. He doesn’t bark incessantly but he does bark when he wants something eg: more pats please, another treat please, you’ve picked up my leash, lets go! He doesn’t go on and on though. But yes he does express himself by barking a lot.
He’s a good sleeper, sleeping the night through. He’s a sweet, clever dog with a happy, endearing and funny personality. Interested in a lovely little companion dog? Please fill in the application.
