NB: We do not rehome interstate or to applicants under 25. It is our policy not to rehome dogs in the Sunraysia area. As rescue groups have transported thousands of homeless dogs from Mildura and Sunraysia pounds over the last decade, we do not intend to send any back there.

Chester is a lovable puppy who is learning what it means to have a safe place in the world. He is an absolute sweetheart who is full of love and craves attention and company. He is playful and would love another puppy at home to play and bond with.

He is learning what it means to be in the world, so a lot of experiences are new to him so needs to be in a home with people who provide his safety and security and give him patience to learn the world isn’t such a scary place. When out walking, Chester isn’t sure how to read other dogs and can be afraid, especially if they bark and he will try to run and hide. He is also very wary of people he doesn’t know but if he feels safe and is in a secure environment he warms very quickly to you.

He is learning basic commands and will need support to continue his house training and provide direction and leadership and he just wants to please so is a quick learner.

An ideal home for Chester will be with a gentle, friendly family with a young playful dog he can bond with. He’s quite needy for attention so would benefit from more than one person to give him attention, and not people who are out all day, unless he has another dog to live with.

All love and guidance provided to this special soul will be returned tenfold.

All our dogs are desexed, C5 vaccinated with intranasal, microchipped, wormed and flea treated. All necessary vet work such as dentals, surgery, eye treatment is also carried out. We are no longer heartworm testing as we have not had one positive test since we began in 2006. If a dog comes to us on heartworm treatment this is continued.
