Welcome to the Pocket Rocket that is Daisy! Should you be chosen as her human, be prepared for much laughter, love and fun.
Daisy is about six months old and is a typical puppy. She came into care through a rural pound with her mum. It’s recommended they are separated as Daisy is showing dominant behaviour towards her mum.
Daisy came into foster with no house training and no understanding of commands. Despite this, she picked up house training in a matter of days and got the hang of the dog door immediately. She does the occasional excited wee when her foster parents come home, but it’s expected she will grow out of this. Because of observed traits of dominating behaviour and resource guarding with her mother, a dog behaviourist has been working with Daisy’s foster carers on Daisy learning her place in the pack where her humans are in charge. In only a matter of days, she has become a superstar on walks, and even lies down before being allowed to eat her food! She does throw the odd toddler tantrum when she loses a toy or a treat under the couch.
Daisy is super-smart and a quick learner. She is at that age where she can be mischievous and has a range of undesirable behaviours that would be relatively easy to manage with consistency. She is an absolute love bug with enough cuddles for all her humans.
Daisy’s family would have the time to dedicate to basic training so she understands her place. If there are other animals in the home she would need to be monitored initially to ensure she is not displaying dominant/resource guarding behaviour. Not tested with cats.

All our dogs are desexed, C5 vaccinated with intranasal, microchipped, wormed and flea treated. All necessary vet work such as dentals, surgery, eye treatment is also carried out. We are no longer heartworm testing as we have not had one positive test since we began in 2006. If a dog comes to us on heartworm treatment this is continued.
