NB: We do not rehome interstate or to applicants under 25. It is our policy not to rehome dogs in the Sunraysia area. As rescue groups have transported thousands of homeless dogs from Mildura and Sunraysia pounds over the last decade, we do not intend to send any back there.

It is time to meet Peppa and Dixie, the doggy world’s answer to The Gilmore Girls.

The mother, Peppa is the outgoing and sassy one. Always ready to meet new people, to play, and to flirt. The daughter, Dixie, is the gentle and thoughtful one – she’ll socialise as needed, but is generally happy sitting around while her curious little mind is taking in the world around her. Most of all, like their famous counterparts, Dixie and Peppa’s bond is unbreakable.

They are currently fostered with two dogs and after a few months, they let them in and are often seen cuddling together. They have also opened up to their foster parents and quite happily spend evenings on their lap having a cuddle, sleeping on their bed, or on the doggy bed at their feet. Make no mistake though – whatever their fancy, whatever they are doing, they are doing it together.

This bond makes these low maintenance dogs very easy to have around. They will sleep at your feet – together. They will sit on your lap – together. They will go outside for a toilet break – together. When they let you know that they love you (and they will) it will be a double-declaration, no doubt about that.

Their ideal home is a calm and loving one. One with other dogs will be ok, but they tend to get a bit excited around cats.

All our dogs are desexed, C5 vaccinated with intranasal, microchipped, wormed and flea treated. All necessary vet work such as dentals, surgery, eye treatment is also carried out. We are no longer heartworm testing as we have not had one positive test since we began in 2006. If a dog comes to us on heartworm treatment this is continued.
