NB: We do not rehome interstate or to applicants under 25. It is our policy not to rehome dogs in the Sunraysia area. As rescue groups have transported thousands of homeless dogs from Mildura and Sunraysia pounds over the last decade, we do not intend to send any back there.

Sadly Frannie has been diagnosed with a bad heart condition. She probably has 6-9 months left. We really want her to be in a loving home for that time. Could it be with you?

Frannie is the sweetest girl and she will sit on your lap any chance she gets. She loves people, loves pats and she will love you! Frannie will be the only dog in her new home, all she wants is to be close to you at all times – you will be her world. She is clever and happy and experiences joy going for walks, sitting in the sun and rubbing herself on the grass.
As she adores you so much, she does experience some separation anxiety.

She is good on lead, sometimes pulls a little and can be a bit shy when meeting other dogs on her walks. She is well behaved and responds well to her people. Frannie is house trained and uses the doggie door. She does have the occasional accident, but this is most likely due to her diuretic medication. Her new family will need to ensure she has plenty of opportunity to go outside.
We have found she gets sick if travelling in the car for too long. Frannie is always keen to get a treat and to be told she’s a good girl and she has learned to be very quiet and patient when waiting for her treat. Her recall is good and she takes her tablets extremely well.

At his stage we believe Frannie will do well in a home with a retired couple, or a mature person/couple who work from home. It really means the world to Frannie to be with her people as much as possible. Secure fencing is a must as she is still happy to try and escape – Frannie still has lots of adventure in her heart. Frannie has been introduced to the resident cat and there were no concerns at all.

Are you the special person/people to make Frannie’s final chapter the best of her life – full of unconditional love, kindness and happiness.

Thank you to Liv Morison of Liv Morison photography for the fantastic photos of Frannie.

All our dogs are desexed, C5 vaccinated with intranasal, microchipped, wormed and flea treated. All necessary vet work such as dentals, surgery, eye treatment is also carried out. We are no longer heartworm testing as we have not had one positive test since we began in 2006. If a dog comes to us on heartworm treatment this is continued.
