NB: We do not rehome interstate or to applicants under 25. It is our policy not to rehome dogs in the Sunraysia area. As rescue groups have transported thousands of homeless dogs from Mildura and Sunraysia pounds over the last decade, we do not intend to send any back there.

Georgie Macafferty just wants to be an only dog and to be loved. Surely there must be a dog savvy person out there that can help this gorgeous girl.

Please note: Georgie will be rehomed as an only dog.

Georgie is a twelve year old Blue Heeler. She is still very full of life, enjoys playing fetch and loves to be in the company of people. She doesn’t seek affection, but instead likes to just sit at your feet and be in the same room as you. She is not at all keen on other dogs, particularly if they don’t respect her personal space.

Georgie takes a little time to adjust to a new environment. Being a typical heeler, she is vocal and runs around exploring but after a few hours she settles then just rests at your feet wherever you are.

She has good recall off leash. Georgie needs a home without steps or stairs. When it’s dark she cannot manage these and tumbles down. She has mild arthritis in her hips and rear end which is being treated with 4cyte balls. She suffers soft stools if fed anything other than a fish based diet. Since being kept on this she has had no issues with her stools. Georgie has not been cat tested, but we believe she would be best in a home without a cat or other pets.
