Gus is a sweet, gentle, loving two-year-old boy who loves being around humans and enjoys lots of cuddles. He also absolutely loves having another dog of the same energy level to play and run with especially, games like tug of war and rope toys. He is comfortable in the company of other active dogs and has shown no aggression to the family cat.
Gus is a very sweet boy but still has some work to do with training basic commands, recall and puppy traits. He knows the command sit and stay but will need further training with these as they are not a quick reaction and you do have to repeat yourself a couple of times.
He has a skin condition on the front right hand side elbow where there is a small, thinned patch that seems thicker then surrounding skin but is otherwise is in good health. He does not require any major grooming, just a wash and brush to enhance his already handsome features. Gus is house trained and happily sleeps in a dog crate, door open and on a dog bed. Gus loves his walks and is enjoying two walks a day, morning and evening. He does pull slightly on the lead as he is so keen to explore his environment .
He is a very active young boy and will thrive in an active family with a play mate. He may not be suited to a family with young children as he loves to jump on everyone and tends to get quite excited.
The ideal home for Gus would be somewhere he would have a playmate of similar age and energy level. He would benefit with people who understand the breed and requirements this brings and are willing to go the extra mile with his training as he is very smart but requires consistency in training to maximise the benefits .
Is Gus perfect for you? If so, please fill out our adoption form. We look forward to receiving your application.
