NB: We do not rehome interstate or to applicants under 25. It is our policy not to rehome dogs in the Sunraysia area. As rescue groups have transported thousands of homeless dogs from Mildura and Sunraysia pounds over the last decade, we do not intend to send any back there.

Meet Kaspar Peggoty, a bundle of big floofy energy that needs some boundaries and training but will be magnificent with the right people, who can put in some time.

He’s a very handsome boy who loves to play, loves the car and loves a bath. He is house trained and sleeps well. He’s pretty good off lead and knows some basic commands and responds well to guidance. He is generally friendly with other dogs.

He’s a bit boisterous though and needs exercise to get out his teenage energy. He also guards his food and can growl if people or other dogs come near, but that can easily be sorted with separate meal areas.

He is quite a dominant boy, but likes very much to play with other doggos, so a quieter female would work or a submissive dog or an only dog, as he loves being around his people and getting attention.

Kaspar is definitely a work in progress and would suit a person or family who is used to larger dogs, is active and can put in the time to set some boundaries. In return he will reward you with love, good playful energy and healthy companionship – maybe even a jogging companion! As he is a bigger boy, small children wouldn’t work as he might bowl them over but larger teenagers or young adults in a family would be great. If you are looking for an active companion that you can take on adventures, Kaspar might be your guy.

All our dogs are desexed, C5 vaccinated with intranasal, microchipped, wormed and flea treated. All necessary vet work such as dentals, surgery, eye treatment is also carried out. We are no longer heartworm testing as we have not had one positive test since we began in 2006. If a dog comes to us on heartworm treatment this is continued.
