NB: We do not rehome interstate or to applicants under 25. It is our policy not to rehome dogs in the Sunraysia area. As rescue groups have transported thousands of homeless dogs from Mildura and Sunraysia pounds over the last decade, we do not intend to send any back there.

Calling candidates for Club Kevin!

Kevin is a delightful young dog who is looking for a new pack due to changes in his family’s circumstances. He currently lives in a busy home with older children and other dogs, and is friendly with all who respect that extreme cuties need a bit of space from time to time . He is house trained and used to being inside and out using a doggy door.

Kevin displays some of the mighty independence of his breed, but also enjoys time with his people and especially evening cuddles on the couch.
He sleeps through the night in the living room and sometimes on a young human’s bed. Kevin can be a bit anxious in the car, but with greater travelling experience this should be easily resolved.

Kevin enjoys the hubbub of home and, while occasionally left with his doggy pals, he is not a candidate for long periods of alone time. He enjoys his daily walks and park sniffing, and meeting others while out and about. Kevin pulls a bit on lead while he satisfies his curiosities, and will benefit from further loose lead training and work on his recall. He loves to play with his canine housemates, sometimes a little more intensely than they are up for! Kevin is unfamiliar with cats and his Jack Russell tendencies to chase moving things suggests this is a situation best not changed. He has had fairly limited training to date but he is keen to please and one session with our trainer showed he was a smart cookie, excited to learn and quickly responsive.

Kevin will do well in a variety of homes with or without older children and with people who are around about more often than not. He will need regular exercise for his young mind and body. He would love a yard in which to burn off some of his energy and a friendly and playful young dog companion would be a great bonus for this pocket rocket. Kevin has a great temperament and with people who can help him catch up on his missed training, this bright spark is going to be an awesome member of the family. Medical Notes:

All our dogs are desexed, C5 vaccinated with intranasal, microchipped, wormed and flea treated. All necessary vet work such as dentals, surgery, eye treatment is also carried out. We are no longer heartworm testing as we have not had one positive test since we began in 2006. If a dog comes to us on heartworm treatment this is continued.
