Laurie is a lovable soul – his gentle and calm nature and love for his people makes him a wonderful companion. Laurie delights in being picked up and to snuggle on your lap. It is clear so far that he bonds with his humans and seeks that nurturing and being around you whenever he can. He follows his foster carer around the house like a little shadow. Laurie seems to be person-bonded; he doesn’t really show interest in meeting other people out on walks, nor to meet other dogs.
Laurie has started walking around his new neighborhood now, which he enjoys. He walks well on lead, pulling a little sometimes but has learnt quickly. He is loving getting out and stopping to sniff all of his favourite spots. Laurie is wary of dogs and cats if they approach him, but is becoming less fearful as long as they respect his space. He’s also getting used to ‘stop’ before crossing a road. This smart boy has mastered house training and uses the dog door now with no issues at all. Although his confidence is growing, he still reacts to sudden, loud noises which frighten him.
Laurie will thrive in a home where his person is around most of the time as he doesn’t like being left alone for very long.
Laurie is a gentle, adoring, sweet little guy who deserves back to him what he has to offer. He would love to share his life with someone who will be his best friend. Will that be with you?
Microchip Number: 956000015654344
Source Number: RE120211
Health: Laurie has a grade 2/3 heart murmur. He had inguinal testes removed that were seminomas with no vascular invasion.
He had teeth removed. Because of the length of the procedure the vets left one broken root there that may need to be removed at a later stage.
For his age he is a healthy boy.
All our dogs are desexed, C5 vaccinated with intranasal, microchipped, wormed and flea treated. All necessary vet work such as dentals, surgery, eye treatment is also carried out. We are no longer heartworm testing as we have not had one positive test since we began in 2006. If a dog comes to us on heartworm treatment this is continued.
