NB: We do not rehome interstate or to applicants under 25. It is our policy not to rehome dogs in the Sunraysia area. As rescue groups have transported thousands of homeless dogs from Mildura and Sunraysia pounds over the last decade, we do not intend to send any back there.

Bonded besties seeking same

Snowball (Snowy) and Marli are a delightful, bonded pair who have slipped into their foster home with ease. They are both happy little pups who enjoy the company of people and each other. Marli likes to do a little jig on his back legs, while Snowy is displaying a growing love of throwing her toys about with abandon. Both are reliably housetrained and in decent health for their ages, although Snowy can get a bit itchy from time to time. They have generally good manners but don’t seem to have any basic training. Teaching them a few basic commands would be a good way to bond with them and help them fit into their new home.

These two love their half hour daily stroll but would benefit from a bit of loose leash training as they both tend to pull a bit and can be barky when they see other pups. Marli seems fine with other pups but Snowy likes to be top dog and can get a bit stroppy with dogs other than her best mate. Marli occasionally growls to signal he is uncomfortable with being handled, but his carers think this is largely due to the big changes in his world and will settle as he relaxes in his new home. Both dogs think cats are the devil’s work and definitely can’t live with them.

These two are full of love and fun and will do well in a variety of homes with or without older children who can give them space when they need it. They cope well when their people are out for work or play, as long as they have each other, indoor-outdoor access and quality time with the family when at home. If there is space in your home and heart(s) for double dog love, Snowy and Marli might be just who you’re looking for.

All our dogs are desexed, C5 vaccinated with intranasal, microchipped, wormed and flea treated. All necessary vet work such as dentals, surgery, eye treatment is also carried out. We are no longer heartworm testing as we have not had one positive test since we began in 2006. If a dog comes to us on heartworm treatment this is continued.
