NB: We do not rehome interstate or to applicants under 25. It is our policy not to rehome dogs in the Sunraysia area. As rescue groups have transported thousands of homeless dogs from Mildura and Sunraysia pounds over the last decade, we do not intend to send any back there.

Nola Bean Tamblyn is very sadly being surrendered as her person cannot take her overseas. She has travelled to many countries with her person, but this time she cannot go.
Nola is a calm, friendly girl who can be a little afraid of loud noises. She has lived happily with other dogs before, for a year alongside four other Chihuahuas, and during her travels she has stayed with friends who had dogs of different breeds. She always got along beautifully.
She can accept cats in her household, but it’s important to note that if the cats choose not to engage with her, Nola can become jealous and misbehave to compete for attention. This was the case when she lived with a foster cat in the past, and it triggered her separation anxiety when she saw the cat receiving affection but not reciprocating with her.
For this reason, Nola must go to a home where there is another small dog companion. Having a dog friend to run and play with daily will help her flourish, provide comfort, and ease her separation anxiety.

All our dogs are desexed, C5 vaccinated with intranasal, microchipped, wormed and flea treated. All necessary vet work such as dentals, surgery, eye treatment is also carried out. We are no longer heartworm testing as we have not had one positive test since we began in 2006. If a dog comes to us on heartworm treatment this is continued.
