These beautiful dogs need a new foster carer. Permanent foster care will also be considered or of course an adopter.
When you get to know Maple, you will see a playful, very sweet natured dog. She is very hand shy, and will drop or disappear at a loud voice, fast movement or even a glance from a stranger. Maple’s foster carer has been working with her to increase her confidence and has managed to get her out for a few, very short walks. At other times Maple quietly and happily stays in the back yard while Pippa is walked, and does a gorgeous ‘happy dance’ when reunited with Pippa and her foster mum. Maple is very quiet, only occasionally barking at the doorbell.
Pippa is a sweet, easy-going old girl who loves her food and treats. She is always up for a cuddle and a walk. As she has settled and relaxed into her foster carers routine, she has started to ‘talk’, which is very cute! Another of her endearing habits is to walk so close behind that she constantly bumps her nose into the back of your leg or knee. She is quite deaf but that doesn’t get in her way. Pippa is very good on lead and does not pull at all. She will get cross if a silly puppy gets in her face, but shows no aggression. She just wants to greet every person and dog, expecting a pat (person) and a sniff (dog). She can look a bit confused if that dog or person isn’t interested in her! In between a couple of walks every day, Pippa is just as happy settled in her bed, or following you around the garden.
Both dogs are house trained and are delightful company. Unfortunately we do think Maple would chase a cat and she can be quick when she wants to be.
If you would like to be Pippa and Maple’s special person/people, we would love to hear from you

Medical Notes: Maple is now on medication and she is starting to become more active and involved in what is going on. Both dogs, especially Pippa, are a little wobbly in the back legs, and only just tolerate the three steps at their current foster care home. They are both on 4cyte.
All our dogs are desexed, C5 vaccinated with intranasal, microchipped, wormed, flea treated and if over 12 months heartworm tested.
