NB: We do not rehome interstate or to applicants under 25. It is our policy not to rehome dogs in the Sunraysia area. As rescue groups have transported thousands of homeless dogs from Mildura and Sunraysia pounds over the last decade, we do not intend to send any back there.

Rafferty, but you can call him Raffie, is best described as calm, very obedient and loyal. Raffie is an indoor dog who loves to spend his days lazing in the sun or keeping his humans company whilst they work. However, he is a working dog and still requires his 30 minutes of daily exercise.

Raffie is a well-trained dog who knows where he is and is not allowed in the house. He can sit, drop, shake paws and sits before starting his dinner.  He walks very well on a lead, is perfectly house trained and travels well in a car.

Raffie is good with other well-mannered and socialised dogs and picks up very quickly if they are not.  Raffie can be jealous and nippy with cats, particularly if they go near his food.

Raffie’s ideal forever home will be an adult only one, where his human family are willing to keep up his daily exercise and are home more often than not. Potentially, a well socialised and polite dog friend with a similar energy level may be something he would be interested in. He would love a home with a big back yard. If you think that you are Raffie’s perfect match, we would love to hear from you.

All our dogs are desexed, C5 vaccinated with intranasal, microchipped, wormed and flea treated. All necessary vet work such as dentals, surgery, eye treatment is also carried out. We are no longer heartworm testing as we have not had one positive test since we began in 2006. If a dog comes to us on heartworm treatment this is continued.
