NB: We do not rehome interstate or to applicants under 25. It is our policy not to rehome dogs in the Sunraysia area. As rescue groups have transported thousands of homeless dogs from Mildura and Sunraysia pounds over the last decade, we do not intend to send any back there.

Sparkie is very independent and is dealing with his senior years gracefully. After a short walk he needs to have a little rest, but won’t give up and will continue on. He is a friendly, intelligent, and loving creature who loves being with humans and will follow you everywhere you go.

If he can, Sparkie loves nothing more than to sneak into your bed with you for cuddles and a bit of a snore. Sparkie is friendly with other dogs and has made friends with the two Irish wolfhounds next door. Currently Sparkie has small walks on the lead, one in the morning and another at night. He struggles with breathing when he exerts himself, but refuses to give up. For his age he is remarkable.

All our dogs are desexed, C5 vaccinated with intranasal, microchipped, wormed, and flea treated. All necessary vetwork such as dentals, surgery, eye treatment are also carried out. We are no longer heartworm testing as we have not had one positive test since we began in 2006. If a dog comes to us on heartworm treatment this is continued.
