NB: We do not rehome interstate or to applicants under 25. It is our policy not to rehome dogs in the Sunraysia area. As rescue groups have transported thousands of homeless dogs from Mildura and Sunraysia pounds over the last decade, we do not intend to send any back there.

Star is the instigator of play and chasings with the her brother Toby and foster sister Bonnie but is the first to submit, roll on her back and yell. She is typically playful puppy who loves to play tug and chew toys (and the furniture, shoes, socks…). A super smart little girl who has mastered sit and shake, very close to having drop, and will come when called 7 out of 10 times. She LOVES food and at the hint of it being meal time she will follow you around, sitting dutifully every time you stop moving, in the hope that the food is close by. She needs work with toilet training (she has accidents if I don’t watch carefully) but gets through the night about 6 hours without needing to get up.

Star has a level of independence that her brother Toby doesn’t yet,  and will happily take herself off to a bed to have a nap or find a chew. She is still learning about cats and does chase but is easily distracted away. Star and Toby spend 90% of their time with each other so while it would be lovely if they could stay together   she’d be fine with another playful (tolerant) puppy friend. Has preferred being outside chasing with a big 30+ kg dog rather than a smaller pug cross.

While you’re here – be sure to check out Star’s sibling Toby.

All our dogs are desexed, C5 vaccinated with intranasal, microchipped, wormed and flea treated. All necessary vet work such as dentals, surgery, eye treatment is also carried out. We are no longer heartworm testing as we have not had one positive test since we began in 2006. If a dog comes to us on heartworm treatment this is continued.
