NB: We do not rehome interstate or to applicants under 25. It is our policy not to rehome dogs in the Sunraysia area. As rescue groups have transported thousands of homeless dogs from Mildura and Sunraysia pounds over the last decade, we do not intend to send any back there.

Breed: Male Maltese Terrier cross

Stig is an absolute snugglebug. Although he may be an older boy who would never guess from all the fun he has. Stig is very much a puppy at heart, loving people and doggy friends, walks, cuddles, walks, teddy’s, long playful walks, and he is a super smart pup.

Stig has learnt so many commands, from the basics; sit, drop, come, up, down, etc. to some odd but very useful ones such as ‘yucky’ for leaving food and rubbish on walks and ‘leave’ for disengaging with other dogs. Stig is continuously soaking up new commands from training sessions with his foster humans. This has allowed him to become a model student for dog walking, happy to go at any pace, with a nice loose lead.

Stig has shown to get along wonderful with other dogs, as long as they are prepared for the play of a puppy. Stig has shown no interests in cats or birds.

Stig will be best suited to a home with people who are ready for lots of walks and training for mental stimulation, and a home that has another doggy friend for Stig to play with.

Do you see Stig as an important part of your life? If so, we would love to receive your application.

We are no longer heartworm testing as we have not had one positive test since we began in 2006. If a dog comes to us on heartworm treatment this is continued.
