NB: We do not rehome interstate or to applicants under 25. It is our policy not to rehome dogs in the Sunraysia area. As rescue groups have transported thousands of homeless dogs from Mildura and Sunraysia pounds over the last decade, we do not intend to send any back there.

Vincent Whistledown is such a great boy. He just adores cuddles and gets on well with other dogs, especially dogs about his size. He is high energy and very active with other dogs at the park but loves to snooze the day away at home. He plays well without being aggressive, but can seem absent minded in his enthusiasm around smaller dogs and sometimes will run into them.

He is a lovely, friendly, calm and low maintenance dog with short bouts of silliness. He is happy to doze all day but then enjoys his walks, play sessions, pats and cuddles and loves being around people. He LOVES grass and during walks if given the chance will lie down, roll over and wriggle around on his back in the middle of a group of people or other dogs.

Vincent is house trained and can use the doggy door. He will sit when asked both on lead and at home. He is also responsive to the “stop” command. He is well-behaved around the house and does not counter-surf or chew things.

In regard to other animals, Vincent has shown an interest in chasing cats, possums and other birds.

Vincent has no health issues although he does get car sick, especially on long drives but is coping better, although mainly only on short trips. Rumour has it that he can now be bribed to put his front paws on the tailgate to be lifted in, progress indeed!!

Vincent’s separation anxiety has improved since he has become more settled. He now tends to be upset for a few minutes and will settle quickly. Vincent loves you so much he does want to be with you and have your attention. Given this, he is best suited to a home with another friendly med-large dog who likes to play but will also let him chill most of the day. People who like big, chunky dogs who will take him out and sniff interesting things.

Vincent has so much potential, and this combined with his intelligence and affectionate nature will see you with the most amazing companion to share your life with.

Adults/teenage home only.

All our dogs are desexed, C5 vaccinated with intranasal, microchipped, wormed, and flea treated. All necessary vetwork such as dentals, surgery, eye treatment are also carried out. We are no longer heartworm testing as we have not had one positive test since we began in 2006. If a dog comes to us on heartworm treatment this is continued.
