Meet Willow Cervantes 🐾

Willow is a joyful, energetic young pup who brings enthusiasm and personality into every moment. Currently being fostered she’s already showing what a wonderful companion she’ll become in the right home.

A little about Willow
Willow is an extremely happy and boisterous puppy who absolutely loves to play whether it’s with her humans or other dogs. She’s full of energy and can be a bit of a handful at times, but she’s also very intelligent and is responding beautifully to training. She already knows how to sit and drop, and with continued guidance, she’s well on her way to becoming a well-mannered companion.

While Willow may look small and cute (with a hint of dachshund in her appearance), don’t be fooled she’s strong, growing quickly, and has a big personality, with her staffy traits really shining through.

Personality & behaviour
Willow is a true “people dog” who thrives on company and interaction. She enjoys being around her foster family and would suit a home where she isn’t left alone for long periods. She’s used to having the run of the house and backyard and settles well in that environment.

She’s mostly house-trained, with only occasional accidents, and will ask to go outside when needed. At night, she sleeps either on the floor or curled up on a low couch.

On walks, Willow is eager and curious, sometimes a bit too eager! She can pull on the lead and may bark when she sees other dogs, usually because she wants to play. With consistent training, this is already improving.

Other animals & socialisation

  • Dogs: Gets along very well with other dogs and enjoys their company
  • Cats: No cats for Willow
  • Children: Has done well with teenagers

Training & needs
Willow is highly trainable and responds well to positive reinforcement and voice commands. She enjoys learning and thrives with structure and consistency. She will need:

  • At least one daily walk
  • Plenty of playtime and mental stimulation
  • Ongoing training to help her grow into her best self

She has shown mild resource guarding with a specific chew item, but this is manageable and she can be easily redirected.

Ideal home

Willow would suit an active household, perhaps a family with older children or teenagers, or a couple who work from home or have flexible schedules. She would be okay as the only dog if her humans are around most of the day but would also be happy to share her family with another doggy friend.

In summary
Willow is a bright, loving, and lively pup with so much potential. With continued training, patience, and plenty of love, she’s set to grow into an incredibly rewarding companion for the right home.

If you’re looking for a fun, affectionate dog who will keep you on your toes and fill your home with energy and love, Willow could be the perfect match 🐶💛
