Little Riley Yarbury was an 11 year old chi that came to the pound as a stray. He looked like he had been attacked by other dogs.
He had definitely not been cared for – his health list read, severe dental disease with oral-nasal fistula, grade 4 heart murmur, body scarring, left side leg missing nails and of course not desexed. He was a little trooper thru all his vet and specialist visits.
From his adopter:
“Riley is doing really well and we absolutely adore him. He’s discovered a love of car trips, so we’ve been taking him to lots of new places – Warburton, You Yangs and Geelong just recently.
He also loves to sun bake, so has been very happy about the sunny weather recently. There’s one particular spot in our courtyard that gets sun first thing in the morning, and he loves to snooze out there straight after this brekky.
His poor little heart murmur has gotten a bit worse, but is being monitored by our local vet. It doesn’t bother him at all though which is good.
I’ve attached some pics for you.
Thank you again for rescuing him from the pound – he’s brought so much joy and love into our home.”
