We are running our Underdog Training Courses again.
Unit 1: Saturday, 21st February, 2026
Unit 2: Saturday, 14th March, 2026
Unit 3: Saturday, 11th April, 2026
Consisting of 2 x 2.5 hour sessions with catering provided. Attendees may come for a whole day, or the morning or the afternoon session only.
Half day sessions are $25 each, or full day is $45.
Location is in Glen Eira. Details will be emailed to registered participants closer to course date.

UNIT 1
Morning Session (10:00am-12:30pm)
Dog-to-Dog Interactions
Learn how to keep dog-to-dog interactions safe and positive:
- Manage aggression and excitability
- Influence dog-to-dog behaviour with confidence
- Build better social skills for every encounter
Afternoon Session (1:15pm-4:00pm)
Managing Multi Dog Households
Make living with multiple dogs easier and more enjoyable:
- Understand the risks and rewards of multi dog homes
- Preventing conflicts and inter dog aggression
- Practical tips for a happy, balanced canine family
UNIT 2
Morning Session (10:00am-12:30pm)
Fearful Behaviour and Fear Aggression in Dogs
Learn how to improve a dog’s capacity to cope with the world:
- Causes of fearful behaviour
- Building confidence, not just compliance
- Working with triggers vs. a whole dog approach – why you need both
Afternoon Session (1:15pm-4:00pm)
Resource Guarding
Preventing and dealing with resource guarding in the home environment:
- Common triggers and early warning signs
- Practical management and dogs that resource guard
- Training strategies to prevent and improve resource guarding
UNIT 3
Morning Session (10:00am-12:30pm)
Separation Anxiety and Separation Related Behaviour
Prevent and improve dogs who struggle when alone:
- Developmental stages vs. separation anxiety – how to recognise a problem
- Understanding what separation anxiety is (and isn’t)
- Dealing with separation anxiety – a multi-faceted approach
Afternoon Session (1:15pm-4:00pm)
Impulse Control
Better behaviour starts with better impulse control:
- Arousal and excitement – friend or foe?
- Obedience vs. impulse control – why you need both!
- Practical video examples and discussion of impulse control in the home environment
