Nessie came to us from the pound with massive mammary tumours: they must have added a kg to her 7 kgs. She was lucky as so many pounds would have put her down needing vetwork so badly. Her first operation was huge down one side with an opening from armpit to groin, but fortunately testing showed the tumours weren’t malignant. She recovered and had her second operation to remove the other strip of tumours and be speyed. We will collect her tomorrow. She is such a happy girl, so affectionate, so active and intelligent. She puts her front legs around the neck of the bull mastiff she was with to ask him to play and kisses the other dog (who turns his head away!!) She is going to be such a great companion for her family. Once she recovers from this operation she will be on the website.
Thank you to Katya and to Lyndsay and Joe for caring for her between operations – and to Lyndsay and Joe for the great ‘after’ photos.
What would have happened to Nessie if groups like ours didn’t exist?
