NB: We do not rehome interstate or to applicants under 25. It is our policy not to rehome dogs in the Sunraysia area. As rescue groups have transported thousands of homeless dogs from Mildura and Sunraysia pounds over the last decade, we do not intend to send any back there.

Ava is a beautiful girl who is very cuddly and affectionate – she just loves attention! Ava gets along well with the other two dogs she currently shares her home with. She will play with them but is also quite independent and will do her own thing rather than relying on the other dogs for companionship. Ava and her doggy friends share their beds at night. She is friendly and calm when she meets new dogs.

Ava is terrified of storms and fireworks and needs to be brought indoors if possible. She has been known to jump a fence and run during a storm. If she is locked away during a storm she will become frantic and destructive.

Ava can sit and beg for treats, sit for her dinner, but does get distracted at times. She pulls on the lead a bit whilst walking and is physically very strong. She is a smart girl and will respond well to further training.

Ava’s ideal home will be with an active family/people where she gets loads of attention. Small children or an elderly person would not be ideal as she may knock them over by accident. Ava has had limited experience with cats and is a little afraid of them.

This amazing soul will be a wonderful companion. She can’t wait to find a special home to lay her paws.
