Sweet Bella and lovely Lovey are bonded besties who will be rehomed together.
Pint-sized Bella is a bright and curious girl, who is interested in whatever her people are up to and friendly when meeting new humans. Bella is fine with sharing her toys, does not guard her food and, while she loves her people’s attention, she knows it needs to be shared. Out and about, Bella is a spritely walker, who shows some excitement when seeing other dogs. She enjoys being close to her people and wouldn’t mind sharing the bed.
Lovey is a gentle and quiet girl, who enjoys company but is also happy entertaining herself. The more self-contained of this pair, Lovey appreciates a quiet life, a slow walk, and playtime with Bella and her soft toys. She sleeps in her bed in the lounge and is happy with this arrangement. Lovey finds stairs a little difficult to negotiate.
Bella and Lovey get on beautifully with each other and have been great with their larger male foster dog brother. They are also currently living with a cat with no problems after proper introductions. Bella and Lovey have not had a lot of training, but they respond to their names, walk well on lead, and are calm and easygoing when attending the groomers. Their foster carers have been undertaking some basic training with them and the girls would benefit from continuation of this in their forever home to support their isettling into their new home and provide a great bonding activity with their new people. Both Bella and Lovey know how to use the doggy door. They have had a few accidents, particularly in the evenings in their foster home, which may reflect the disruption of time spent in the pound. With structured evening routines and encouragement from their people, this is improving. Bella and Lovey are fine being left alone together indoors with outside access for several hours, although they of course prefer the company of their people.
Bella and Lovey are sweet and affectionate dogs who will make a great addition to their new home. While they could certainly slot into a home with another dog and cats, the most important thing for this pair will be that they have each other and loving humans. Bella and Lovey should be fine with people who are out for part of the day, provided they can be inside with outdoor access and receive plenty of together time when their people are home. Based on their respective needs, these girls will do best in a calm adult-only home, with yard access and minimal steps to negotiate. They will enjoy a short daily stroll (although Bella may benefit from some occasional extra exercise), soft toys to play with, cuddles on the couch and some further training. This delightful pair are a pre-made doggy family, just waiting for the right people to take them home.
