NB: We do not rehome interstate or to applicants under 25. It is our policy not to rehome dogs in the Sunraysia area. As rescue groups have transported thousands of homeless dogs from Mildura and Sunraysia pounds over the last decade, we do not intend to send any back there.

Breed: Female Blue Heeler
DOB: 05/08/2019
Weight: 14kgs
Location: Melbourne

Bowie is a super cutie in more ways than one! Matching eyebrows and cheek markings, the half floppy ears, and the question mark shaped fluffy tail – she has the looks. The personality? Bowie is friendly and intelligent; she gets on well with other dogs and loves playing chasey! Bowie is a gentle girl and her current owner says she is great with everyone, is very situationally aware and a small blue heeler size dog.  Bowie is a reluctant surrender with her family having to move overseas urgently.

Bowie walks great on leash, although she is excited at first but settles down very quickly. Currently she walks for about an hour a day. Bowie is well trained, with excellent recall. She uses a doggy door and is house trained. She is good travelling in the car.

Bowie has  a little sandpit as she does love to dig now and then, and she’s learned to use the sandpit. Bowie barks at and chases possums and she will bark when the doorbell rings. When visitors arrive Bowie will stand on her back legs and want pats and attention, as all social butterflies do.

Bowie is untested with cats but we think not.

All our dogs are desexed, C5 vaccinated with intranasal, microchipped, wormed and flea treated. All necessary vet work such as dentals, surgery, eye treatment is also carried out. We are no longer heartworm testing as we have not had one positive test since we began in 2006. If a dog comes to us on heartworm treatment this is continued.
