If you would like to know more or have problems using a Microsoft Word document please email us.

NB: We do not rehome interstate or to applicants under 25. It is our policy not to rehome dogs in the Sunraysia area. As rescue groups have transported thousands of homeless dogs from Mildura and Sunraysia pounds over the last decade, we do not intend to send any back there.

Please note: Mylee would love to share her home with a medium-large playful doggy friend. She has lived with Dusty St Clair who is also available for adoption and they would love to be rehomed together.

Mylee is a playful girl with an incredible love for life and her people. She has the most adorable four legged pounce when excited by a bug or frog. Mylee loves her toys, tug of war, playing with energetic dogs and heading out for adventures. Mylee is in her element spending time with her people and other dogs, and belly rubs and pats make her day.

Mylee came into our care badly needing work on training and further socialisation. And she is coming ahead in leaps and bounds. She has now spent a few months with her foster parents and, with love, patience, boundaries and an understanding for the importance of training,  she  has shown herself to be  an amazing companion.

Since living with her foster parents, Mylee has become calmer, and is continuing to work on not getting too excited by new people. She is interested in other dogs and has made improvements in her ability to hold her excitement around them and is learning to approach calmly. She is also doing very well in reading other dogs behavior and understanding how to respond to them. Mylee is walking quite well on lead now. There are times when she may try to say hello to people, but it is just because she loves everyone so much. Her trainer has declared she would be fine with group training now, where she certainly wasn’t before with her high level of excitement.

Mylee’s focus has improved so much. She has been learning very quickly  with commands and impulse control. Mylee can now sit and drop reliably, even with distraction with either verbal or hand signal and is released with a ‘chill’ command. She will even get her toy with a ‘tug’ command. She is house trained and learnt within 2 minutes how to use a dog door (quick learner!).  What can we say? This girl is a star! Mylee also travels well in the car, and when getting close to her destination and will whine to let you know she is excited.

Mylee has some grass allergies which will need some attention, but overall she is in great health. She has a lot of energy, and will need a forever home that is willing to give her at least 45 – 60 minutes of exercise each day. Mylee’s ideal forever home would be one where her humans are adults or older teens, are willing to put in the time to continue to train her and if possible a big backyard to run around and expend her energy in. We believe if this training and guidance isn’t ongoing, Mylee may regress. While attention and stimulation are important to her wellbeing, healthy boundaries in a loving environment will see her truly thrive.

Mylee is looking for someone to help complete the rest of this journey with her and in return she will reward you with love and affection in bucket loads.

If you think you are Mylee’s perfect match, we would love to hear from you.

Adults/teenage home only.

Thank you to Lyndsay of Paw Focus Photography for the fantastic photos of Mylee.

All our dogs are desexed, C5 vaccinated with intranasal, microchipped, wormed, and flea treated. All necessary vetwork such as dentals, surgery, eye treatment are also carried out. We are no longer heartworm testing as we have not had one positive test since we began in 2006. If a dog comes to us on heartworm treatment this is continued.
