NB: We do not rehome interstate or to applicants under 25. It is our policy not to rehome dogs in the Sunraysia area. As rescue groups have transported thousands of homeless dogs from Mildura and Sunraysia pounds over the last decade, we do not intend to send any back there.

Breed: Male Pug Cross
DOB: 05/11/2018
Weight: 12kgs
Location: Gembrook

The lovely Archie Aylesbury is a great little dog. Although not that keen on being picked up, Archie enjoys couch time with his people and resting his face/paws on you, and is an affectionate guy.

Archie also loves a wrestle and playtime, chasing sticks and tennis balls (and chewing on them). He is good on lead and isn’t fussed by other dogs, small or large, on walks. He just gives them a sniff and continues on his way.

He has shared his home with a cat without any concerns and is house trained.

HOWEVER he is an intelligent boy but cheeky and will see what he can get away with. So he will need an experienced person who can understand where he is coming from, do training, play mental games with him, and generally give him something to keep him content.

Archie gets on well with other dogs and may like to live with a female dog. To date he has lived with a sibling and although they quarelled sometimes generally they got on well, but he will try to boss a dog around. He has been fine with visiting dogs and loves a play, interacting well.

Archie is obsessed with food – perhaps because of short supply on the puppy farm he came from – and will resource guard against another dog /try to take their food.

If you want a dog with a sense of adventure and lots of energy but in a cute package Archie may well be the dog waiting for you.

All our dogs are desexed, C5 vaccinated with intranasal, microchipped, wormed and flea treated. All necessary vet work such as dentals, surgery, eye treatment is also carried out. We are no longer heartworm testing as we have not had one positive test since we began in 2006. If a dog comes to us on heartworm treatment this is continued.
