NB: We do not rehome interstate or to applicants under 25. It is our policy not to rehome dogs in the Sunraysia area. As rescue groups have transported thousands of homeless dogs from Mildura and Sunraysia pounds over the last decade, we do not intend to send any back there.

Please note: Millie will be rehomed to a pet-free home.

Millie Aylesbury is a loving girl who cherishes her people. She thinks zoomies are the best fun. She loves her soft toys, even better if they squeak and she is a whiz at solving doggy puzzles. Millie enjoys playing fetch with her ball and understands the command “finished” when it is time to have a rest. Millie loves her agility exercise, especially her tunnel! If you work from home she will be a fantastic little companion, happy to sleep in her bed as you work through your daily tasks.

Millie isn’t too keen on being picked up but she LOVES cuddles. This sweet girl adores her humans so much that she doesn’t want to leave your side. Her love for you means she experiences separation anxiety and frets when left alone.

Millie is house trained and uses her dog door. She has undertaken obedience training. She shakes hands, sits and drops. For dinner she will sit and stay until you say “free”. If she does the pug reverse sneeze/snort she understands ‘just breathe’ while you massage her throat. If you say “show me your belly” she will roll over so you can pat her or apply cream (she gets allergies). Millie also understands “in your bed” and “bedtime.” She is just so clever.

Millie is reactive to other dogs when on lead, but is good with the dogs in her day care as long as they respect her space. She is also reactive to men wearing Hi Vis clothing. Millie has her own little vest that says “I’m nervous, please give me my space” that she wears when out and about.

The ideal home for Millie? A quiet environment. A yard where she can feel safe, chill out and enjoy her own space. Her adopters will be home most of the time and will have the patience to continue working with Millie on her socialization with people and other dogs.

Millie just wants to be an important part of your world. This adorable bundle of love will enrich your life in so many ways. She can’t wait to meet you!

Millie is untested with cats.

All our dogs are desexed, C5 vaccinated with intranasal, microchipped, wormed and flea treated. All necessary vet work such as dentals, surgery, eye treatment is also carried out. We are no longer heartworm testing as we have not had one positive test since we began in 2006. If a dog comes to us on heartworm treatment this is continued.
