NB: We do not rehome interstate or to applicants under 25. It is our policy not to rehome dogs in the Sunraysia area. As rescue groups have transported thousands of homeless dogs from Mildura and Sunraysia pounds over the last decade, we do not intend to send any back there.

Meet Buddy – Your Quiet, Loyal Companion

Buddy is a sweet, quiet boy ready to find a calm home where he can truly settle and feel safe. With his short, easy-care coat and relaxed nature, he’s a low-maintenance companion who enjoys a peaceful lifestyle.

He walks nicely on lead with only a little pulling, travels well in the car, and is generally well-mannered and responsive. Buddy would prefer to walk with his person and not have interaction with other dogs and will appreciate being left by other dogs to do his own thing. He is not confrontational but will react to an impertinent dog who does not respect his space so a person confident with big dogs is a necessity.

Buddy isn’t much of a barker, making him a great match for someone looking for a calm, easygoing dog.

He’s learning to use a doggy door and is likely house trained, just needing a bit of consistency as he settles in. He’s also comfortable spending time on his own.

• Family/Person with some experience or willingness to continue training

Buddy can be unsure around other dogs and prefers his own space, so he’ll do best as the only pet. With patience, structure, and understanding, he will reward you with quiet loyalty and companionship.

All our dogs are desexed, C5 vaccinated with intranasal, microchipped, wormed and flea treated. All necessary vet work such as dentals, surgery, eye treatment is also carried out. We are no longer heartworm testing as we have not had one positive test since we began in 2006. If a dog comes to us on heartworm treatment this is continued.
