If you are regular visitor to our website, you may feel you are seeing the same dogs again and again. The dogs on the first page have been with us the longest and you will see them each time. The ones new to us are on the last page. We’re sure there is a dog for you there.
Please note: The description of each dog is based on the foster carer’s latest report. As the dog settles it may be changed. For example, you may apply for a dog listed as a single dog to be told they now need a home with another dog. We keep the descriptions as up to date as we can. Please email us if you have an enquiry about a specific detail in the description. This may save you the time in doing an application. We also accept the application forms of other groups to save you having to redo the same information.

Zeus Rivero
Meet Zeus, a young‑at‑heart toy poodle cross who loves long walks along the beach, sitting with his humans and trying new things like learning tricks. Once he feels safe, Zeus is affectionate, people‑focused and enjoys being included in everyday life.

What a cutie! Mickey’s most endearing trait is his love of life. He is full of exuberance, and all Mickey wants to do is please his person. He loves to quietly sit by his person’s side, with his head on your lap or with your hand on his body.

Please note: Tetley thrives with another dog and must be rehomed with one. Tetley is the sweetest boy. He is a friendly, easygoing dog who loves being around people and making new friends. He gets along well with other dogs and is usually good with cats, happily fitting into a home with other pets.

Bella, a tender, low-key girl looking for a cosy life. She adores her people and does like quite a bit of attention during the day and would be more suited to being the only dog in her family.
Luna Wensleydale (on hold)
Luna has had her specialist operation to deal with the pyometra, and had her ears cleared although they remain an ongoing issue. We will give her a break and then she will have her heart operation (Balloon valvuloplasty). During this time we will take expression of interest.

Dear Randall has been a well-loved member of his pack since puppyhood. A change in the household dynamics has sadly been causing him some stress and his loving family have made the hard decision to have VicDog Rescue rehome him so he can regain his trademark spark.

Wombat will be checking out her new home soon. Wombat Bulleau has just joined us. She has obviously been maltreated and we have to work through some health and confidence issues with her. We will be posting more about her on Facebook.

Pint-sized Pepe's person has asked VicDog Rescue to help find his forever home due to some changes in life circumstances that mean he is not getting the companionship he deserves. This mini Daschie attaches strongly to his person(s) and loves to play, pushing his squeaky toys or ball about in an invitation for fun around the house.
