If you are regular visitor to our website, you may feel you are seeing the same dogs again and again. The dogs on the first page have been with us the longest and you will see them each time. The ones new to us are on the last page. We’re sure there is a dog for you there.
Please note: The description of each dog is based on the foster carer’s latest report. As the dog settles it may be changed. For example, you may apply for a dog listed as a single dog to be told they now need a home with another dog. We keep the descriptions as up to date as we can. Please email us if you have an enquiry about a specific detail in the description. This may save you the time in doing an application. We also accept the application forms of other groups to save you having to redo the same information.

Teddy is very popular and at Teddy's request we are prioritising applications where there is another playful dog. He adores both human and dog company and is just as content romping around with a playmate as he is chilling out with a toy for a quiet chew.

Luna is sweetness personified. She is calm and loving with people, comfortable being handled and enjoys trips in the car. This snugglepot is a world class napper, happy to sleep in her bed near you through the night, and snooze in sunny spots throughout the day.

Vintage is a sweet soul who is brand new into foster care and just beginning to settle into his new world. As he learns the rhythms of his foster home and what's expected of him, he's taking everything in with a gentle, open heart.

Dear Randall has been a well-loved member of his pack since puppyhood. A change in the household dynamics has sadly been causing him some stress and his loving family have made the hard decision to have VicDog Rescue rehome him so he can regain his trademark spark.

This mini Daschie attaches strongly to his person(s) and loves to play, pushing his squeaky toys or ball about in an invitation for fun around the house. Pepe loves to run around in the park, play fetch with a ball and explore the world through his nose.

Always a lady. Always great company – with an affectionate personality. Audrey is a sensible and sweet senior lady who can be taken to the local café, delighted to meet other dogs on the way. A nice head scratch from a passerby is well received.

Neddy has some behaviour issues to work on. At this time he would only be suited for an adopter with considerable training experience. Neddy (aka Teddy) is a handsome Cavoodle with a playful personality that comes out once he feels safe.

Howie is a sweet, quiet and affectionate little Maltese who loves being close to his people. Once he trusts you, he becomes a loyal companion who enjoys nothing more than curling up on the couch or snuggling beside his humans. Abbey is a cuddly bundle of puppy joy looking forward to her forever life. This sweetie was dumped at a rural pound with her littermates and sadly left behind as the others were adopted. Abbey enjoys car rides, snuggles with her humans and loves splashing in any kind of water.

Muffin is a tiny girl with a huge personality and a heart full of love! Muffin is an absolute delight. She happily accepts pats, cuddles and being picked up, and she wasted no time covering her foster carer in kisses!
Chester and Lucy Gallucci
Both Chester and Lucy are affectionate, gentle and incredibly people-oriented. They love pats, cuddles and belly rubs, and both will happily wriggle their little bodies around trying to get your hands on them.
Halle Harborough
Beautiful Halle is showing us what a sweet, loving girl she is. She adores being around people and is friendly with both humans and other dogs. She's happiest when she has company and can simply be close to her people.
Bindi and Dakota Firebrace
Bindi and Dakota are a gorgeous pair of Staffies who are looking for a loving home where they can enjoy their golden years together. They are both lovely, relaxed dogs who enjoy the simple things in life — spending time with their people, having a gentle daily walk, eating good food and plenty of relaxing and sleeping.
Hazel Harborough
Hazel is new to us and appears to be a cheeky and affectionate puppy. She has not had the socialisation she should, and will benefit from careful introductions or a calm dog to live with.

Rosy Harborough
Rosy is new to us, and what a genuinely lovely little girl she is! Rosy is affectionate, sweet and likes to take her time to suss things out. She is settling in well with her two other foster dog friends, being respectful, calm and gentle.
Lila Gallucci
Lila is very affectionate with her people and loves to snuggle up on the couch and tuck her head into your shoulder if she can. Like all sensible beings, she also enjoys a good tummy rub!
